I was thrilled to be voted the winner of the January 10th ISCA Members FB contest for my drawing of Kev Doughty.
Russ White from MPLSART.com interviewed me about all things caricature. Check out the full article here!

ISCAcon32 recently took place in Los Angeles, CA from November 12-17th at the Sheraton Gateway. I’m pleased to announce that I took home 3rd place in the “Best Studio Piece” competition for my drawing of Paul Rubens as Pee Wee Herman!

Additionally, I became the President of the International Society of Caricature Artists, a great honor for me. Thank you to everyone for their encouragement and support!
After many requests from people who wanted to buy prints of some of my fan artwork, I’ve finally opened an online store! Here you can buy limited edition, 8.5″ x 11″ digital prints on archival paper. Each one is hand-signed by me. Thanks to everyone for your encouragement and support as I take on this new endeavor to help send my work out into the world!

I had a blast drawing caricatures at the first ever Borscht Belt Fest that took place in Ellenville, NY on July 29th, 2023!

A huge thanks to everyone who followed along and for all the likes, shares and new follows! If you didn’t notice, this year’s theme was people who have been the subject of a biopic movie or TV series and the actors/actresses who portrayed them. Here’s a collage of all of the subjects together, positioned next to their counterparts.
Time for some fun stats!
Total drawing time = 48.27 hours
Average time per drawing = 1.56 hours
Longest drawing time: Denzel Washington at 8 hours 2 mins
Shortest drawing time: Claire Danes at 21 min
Number of drawings that took under an hour: 16
Number of drawings that took over 2 hours: 6
Number of names I DIDN’T know when starting the challenge: 14
My experience is that the length of drawing time was mostly dictated by how easily I was able to find the likeness of the subject through sketching. The line and shading work took minimal time in comparison. The subjects that took the longest I usually worked on multiple versions of a drawing to find the “right” one. Others just appeared on my page with little effort.
